Nuestra Historia

Ef 2:8-9

NUESTRO VALORES O LO QUE SOMOS:  Cristianos, Santos y Misioneros.

1. Asista al servicio de adoración cada Domingo.
2. Participe en pequenos grupos. Hch 2:44-47, He 10:25
3. Se involucre en algún ministerio.

IPd 1:15-16, 1Ts 4:3-7, 5:23, Jn 17:17

OUR STORY

We are a community of faith with the purpose of growing, going and giving to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom in this world! Gracepointe was born in 1926 as Atlanta First Church of the Nazarene. In the 83 years since, the Church has relocated four times, changing the name from Atlanta First to Gracepointe when God led us to our present 37-acre site near Loganville. Gracepointe is an accepting place to experience grace, with a culturally diverse congregation. We are committed to helping people come to Christ, grow in Him and get involved in productive and personally fulfilling service.

ABOUT THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Founded in 1908, the Church of the Nazarene is an international denomination, similar in doctrine to the Methodist movement that began in England during the 1700s under John Wesley. Today the Nazarene church serves in more than 150 world areas, with a global membership of nearly two million. We believe that eternal salvation is available to all, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. The Nazarene Church also emphasizes the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who can enable us to live victorious, holy and productive lives. The Church of the Nazarene is a holiness church. Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over sin, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We accept the challenge of Christ in His Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations" — locally, across our nation and around the world.

OUR CHURCH'S VISION: To make Christ-like disciples in all the nations.

GRACEPOINTE'S VISION (IN ADDITION): We are a community of faith with the purpose of growing, going and giving to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom in the world.

OUR CORE VALUES:  Christian, Holiness, Missional

We Are A Christian People:  We believe that Christ is the center of everything!

We Are A Holiness People:  God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, or "entire sanctification" — cleaning us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christ-likeness.
We Are A Missional People:  We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom.
We believe:
1. In one God — the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

3. That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgement will take place.

4. That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

5. That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

6. That the atonement through Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and    saved from the dominion of sin.

7. That the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

8. That man is born with a fallen nature, and is therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually
